Faustina A. Roman is a socially conscious entrepreneur, advocate for clean energy and VP of Sustainability at VLV Development. She Co-Founded VGI Energy in 2009, to generate clean energy and reduce carbon footprints while helping customers achieve overall annual energy savings.

Faustina believes that the time to stop environmental degradation and seize new market opportunities in alternative energy is now. She also believes in the importance of cultivating diversity within the energy economy by supporting and empowering urban communities to participate in the new energy revolution.

“The energy business is one of the most vibrant, secure businesses to be in, because everybody needs power. Everybody needs energy, and whether it’s a regulated environment or it’s not regulated, the energy business is going to be with us throughout our future. I can’t see a future without it.”

Faustina has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Her specialties include clean energy, sustainable economic development, strategy, sales management and financial services.

Faustina has a B.A. in Commerce from Chicago’s DePaul University. She has also participated in executive-level programs at Northwestern University through the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. She is a member the Solar Energy Industry Association and is a certified LEED Green Associate.
